Covid 19 – Safety first

Welcome to our Mountain Lodge, high up on the rock, above the roofs of Zermatt!
We are ready to offer you relaxing moments of pleasure at THE OMNIA – with as few restrictions as possible but as many as necessary.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic there are special regulations for entering Switzerland:

  • From Saturday, January 22, double vaccinated and recovered persons will no longer have to present a negative PCR or antigen rapid test before entering Switzerland.

  • For non-vaccinated and non-recovered persons, the test before entering Switzerland will be retained. The requirement for a second test four to seven days after entry will be waived.

  • This means that the 3G rule applies to entry into Switzerland. The entry form must now only be completed by persons travelling to Switzerland by plane or long-distance bus.

  • No mandatory testing for children under 16.

Please note the COVID regulations in force in Switzerland:

  • We recommend the "Covid Cert App", "CovPass" or a similar app from the EU to show your Covid certificate digitally as a QR code when entering restaurants, bars etc. together with an ID or passport.

  • 2G rule indoors: Only vaccinated and recovered persons have access to breakfast, restaurants, fitness & wellness.

  • Mask requirement indoors: A mask must be worn indoors and consumption is only allowed in a seated position.

  • Overnight stays in hotels only, and thus also in THE OMNIA, will continue to be possible without a Covid certificate. However, no access to the restaurant, bar & wellness etc. without a 2G certificate.

In order to protect you, dear guests, and our staff, the whole team has been vaccinated. THE OMNIA strictly follows the recommendations and regulations of the Federal Council, the Federal Office of Public Health FOPH and WHO in these challenging times. We implemented concepts of not only top quality but also of style and refinement.

We can hardly wait to spoil you in Zermatt soon!
Best wishes in the meantime,

Christian Eckert
Managing Director and the entire OMNIA team

In connection with the COVID-19 pandemic THE OMNIA reserves the right to close the hotel at any time and to cancel existing reservations. A closure is at THE OMNIA's sole discretion and may be due to the political public health situation in Switzerland, the Canton of Valais or in Zermatt as well as to the economic situation. In the event of such a closure, guests are not entitled to a refund of payments already made. Any claims for damages by guests against THE OMNIA as well as any other claims in connection with such a closure are expressly excluded.

Clean, cleaner, THE OMNIA!

We will take our high hygiene standards to the next level as all our rooms and suites will be additionally desinfected by a mobile cold fogger.

Because your safety comes first!

Mask-Wearing Requirement

In the canton of Valais, masks are compulsory for everyone aged 12 and over in indoor areas open to the public, e.g. restaurants, lobbies, bars, even if the COVID-19 certificate is required there.

In wellness facilities as well as in sports and fitness studios, outside of sports activities, a mask must be worn while walking around.

The measures currently in place for mountain railroads continue to apply, i.e. mandatory wearing of masks in all enclosed facilities such as cabins or bubble chairlifts and in buildings.

Clean and Safe

Dense forests, clear lakes and fresh mountain air: Switzerland as a travel destination offers not only pure nature but also safety and a good health system. THE OMNIA also takes special measures to protect its guests and ensure they have an unforgettable stay in Switzerland.

The Clean and Safe labels confirm that THE OMNIA's protection concept in all areas of hospitality complies with the strict hygiene guidelines of the associations HotellerieSuisse, GastroSuisse and Switzerland Tourism.

Trusted cleanliness

THE OMNIA is certified with the internationally standardized „Trusted Cleanliness“ label, issued by TrustYou. The reported hygiene and safety measures we have implemented, have passed the high demands of the TrustYou assessment process.

Are you well?

As a measure to stop the further spread of the coronavirus, we ask you, like you, not to visit THE OMNIA if you have not felt healthy in the last 10 days or are currently suffering from fever, cough or other cold or flu symptoms.

Travel safely – Park & Ride

We ask you to travel in your private car – to protect yourself, the other guests and the team of THE OMNIA. In order to give you a safe and relaxing start to your holidays, we offer a "Park & Ride Service" exclusively for our guests: Park your car at our partner Taxi Alphubel in Täsch. Your personal chauffeur will then transfer your luggage into a large vehicle in compliance with all safety standards. Enjoy the 10-minute scenic drive to Zermatt, where our porter will welcome you with the electric car and drive you to the Mountain Lodge.

On the day of departure you will settle the "Park & Ride Service" together with your room bill at the Front Office. Back in Täsch you will only board your car and start your safe journey home.
